We founded FME Legal with a clear purpose: to provide practical, reliable, and down-to-earth legal support that puts people first. Our background in both law and legal practice management means we understand not only the law, but how to deliver it efficiently, transparently, and responsively.
We’re an appointment-only practice, which keeps our overheads low and our service flexible. We meet clients by phone or video (Zoom or Microsoft Teams), at their location, or at a convenient office space — so wherever you are in South Australia, distance is never a barrier to quality legal advice.
Michelle Cahill — Partner
Michelle is the Partner at FME Legal, bringing over a decade of experience in family law, wills and estates, and personal injury matters. She holds a Bachelor of Laws and Legal Practice together with a Bachelor of Arts and has built a reputation for her thorough knowledge of the law and her practical, client-focused approach.
Michelle has acted across a wide range of matters including property settlements, parenting disputes, estate planning, applications for probate, and motor vehicle accident claims. She is known for her ability to guide clients through complex and often stressful legal issues with professionalism, empathy, and clear advice.
With her strong litigation background and commitment to achieving fair outcomes, Michelle is dedicated to ensuring her clients feel supported and empowered at every stage of the legal process.
Cassie Carter — Practice Manager and Paralegal
Cassie is the Practice Manager and Paralegal at FME Legal, providing invaluable support across family law, estates, and civil litigation matters. She combines her meticulous approach to research, documentation, and case preparation with the organisational skills required to ensure the smooth running of the firm.
Her dual role ensures that both clients and staff receive efficient, professional service, and her attention to detail and dedication make her an integral part of the FME Legal team. Cassie is committed to supporting the legal team while creating a welcoming and well-organised environment for clients.
She is currently completing a Bachelor of Laws, further strengthening her legal expertise and her ability to assist clients and practitioners alike.
